1. Go to the object.

For standard objects, go to Setup –> Customize.

For custom objects, go to Setup –> Create –> Objects.

2. In Compact Layout, click “New”.

3. Add the fields.

4. Save the layout.

5. Assign it to profiles using Layout Assignment.
