Basic Entities in CRM


Customers, competitors, and partners. Each account stores information such as name, address, and phone numbers. Accounts are companies that you're doing business with.

Information about an organization.


Individuals associated with your business accounts that you need to track in Salesforce. Contacts are the people who work for the Accounts.

Information about individual persons.


Sales deals that you want to track. Adding opportunities also build your pipeline, which will contribute to your forecast.

Potential revenue-generating event.


Something offered by the company to the customers for a price is called a Product.


A prospect or potential opportunity.

Information about an individual/organization who is interested in our product.


Description of a customer’s feedback, problem, or question. Use cases to track and solve your customers’ issues.


The detailed description of a customer issue and the resolution of that issue.


An asset in Salesforce represents a specific purchased or installed product.

  1. Great article. I was looking for something more simple which whould help me manage all of the above for my small business and came across TriumphCRM which is extremely simple and meets my basic CRM needs. By the way am just moving from Excel to a CRM.
